David Bowie Than you will absolutely LOVE this SACD recording. Hear
Mr. Bowie sing almost a capella out of the center of your surround
system, all instruments clear and brilliant from the rest of the
speakers. Even if you know or own the CD release you need this one,
it's definetly a new dimension of enjoying..

Bob Dylan This is the only Dylan disc Columbia released as a
single-layer SACD. It's since been reissued in a hybrid with
a 5.1 mix (which for some reason is twice the price - must be a
double disc set). It'll probably be withdrawn soon and will probably
be a collectable, so grab it while you can.

Byrds The expanded GREATEST HITS is truly the greatest music that
The Byrds released during the period of 1965-1967. The huge hits
were "Mr. Tambourine Man" and "Turn! Turn!
Turn!", but for me, the centerpieces are "Chimes Of
Freedom" and "My Back Pages", which together describe
most..

Roger Waters This "live" performance almost sounds
"too perfect" to be live. A great bunch of musicians and a
great sounding cd going through the popular Pink Floyd catelog of
hit songs and covering the most popular solo material as well.
Almost a bit too "commercialized" similar to the Pink
Floyd "Echoes"..

Bruce Springsteen If Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band were
a playground basketball team they'd be the one made up of local
legends that don't have as much spring in their legs as the young
bucks, but get by on guts and guile. Culled from the two Madison
Square Garden shows that closed out the revived E Street..

Santana I was disappointed - great music, poor sound. Just stereo
version, bad quality. If you like classic rock, better buy QUEEN
"A Night At The Opera", DEEP PURPLE "Machine
Head" and PINK FLOYD "The Dark Side Of The Moon".
Great and powerful 5.1 sound!

Joe Satriani A little cynicism is to be expected when a veteran
guitar virtuoso jumps on the electronica bandwagon. But Joe Satriani,
who takes that route with Engines of Creation, remains head
and shoulders above most guitar gods through sheer good taste. Most
of Engines is very good, and Satriani deserves..

Aerosmith The boys of Aerosmith are at it again with yet another
kick-butt CD. Although they slip out of their normal character in
this one, the songs range anywhere from a soft ballad like
"Jaded," to hard rock in "Just Push Play." This is awesome and I recommend it for anyone who has a true
"Rock and..

Alice in Chains I only own 4 SACD's and about 600 CD's and this is
one of the worst mixes I've ever heard. It sounds like a mono track
spread out among the 6 channels. For some reason I can't hear a bass
guitar or a bass drum anywhere in the mix let alone the backup
vocals.

Journey This is one of my all time favorite Journey albums! A flick
of the switch and I am back in Jr. High going to the arcade with my
friends and roller skating. A classic transport in time by one of
the greatest rock and roll bands of the 80's. One that is good
enough to translate easily to the youth of..
